Machu Picchu Wheelchair Tour Itinerary

Day 1Let's the Adventure begins! (B.L)

Let’s have an incredible day in an important site of the Inca Empire because of its naturally rich soil; let’s get to know this beautiful reality

Upon your arrival at Cusco (3400 mts/11154.9 ft), you will be welcomed by our friendly View Perú representative and our helpful assistant who will accompany you throughout your tours; they will be more than happy to answer any questions or concerns you may have. Then, you will be transported in a wheelchair-accessible vehicle to your Sacred Valley hotel but we will make some stops at beautiful sites along the way.

Our first stop is Chinchero town (3762 mts/12342.5 ft) this charming town is characterized by its living culture that still maintains until our days despite the strong incursion of the modern world. We can appreciate a sample of this tradition, especially on Sundays as a fair is held in Chinchero main square, where you can see the local products, handicrafts and especially their textiles, which are made in the ancestral style. This day, we will visit a textile center which is a non-profit organization established to aid in the survival of Incan textile traditions and to provide support to weaving communities. During this weaving demonstration, authentic Chinchero women dressed in their beautiful costumes perform different works of the Andean fabric process such as spinning, dyeing, warps, girdle fabric, blanket fabric, fabric finishing, and more. Continuing with our route, we will head to Maras town (3390 mts/11122.1 ft) to have a unique lunch at a very special sustainable restaurant with beautiful views of the recently restored Tiobamba church.

We will follow the program for this day with a tour through Maras town. Before the arrival of the Spaniards, these were the real lands of the Incas. Then, the town was the site where the nobles of the Inca Empire were displaced from Cusco. Then, you will be transferred to your enchanting Sacred Valley hotel (2871 mts/9419.3 ft) and have the rest of the day at leisure to adjust to the altitude or just have some rest in your room specially adequated for your needs.
